So yesterday, Dr. Rochelle Walensky, the very capable head of the CDC announced something of a “reset” on how that organization works, saying in what can only be considered the understatement of the year (my bold) “For 75 years, CDC and public health have been preparing for COVID-19, and in our big moment, our performance did not reliably meet expectations,” Ya think? Of course this “reset” can only end badly because when you have imbecilic children in charge the bad ending is already built in. The CDC completely failed at every single level, aspect, and edict in their response to COVID. Not only failed, in almost every case took action that was the direct opposite of what should’ve been done.
A week earlier, the CDC, in an attempt to memory-hole the public as to their stupidity and incompetence announced some changes in policy vis-à-vis COVID. You can read that document here if you want: https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/71/wr/pdfs/mm7133e1-H.pdf
Remember, this is published in the CDC’s own “journal” which as I have shown you several times before is a dumpster fire masquerading as a regular fire. But perhaps chief amongst the revelations in this new guidance is “CDC’s COVID-19 prevention recommendations no longer differentiate based on a person’s vaccination status…” Well isn’t that special? (shout out Church Lady) So the evil, stupid, death-culter unvaxxed troglodytes are now considered the same as the smart, caring, obedient, fully vaxxed? How’d that happen. I thought the unvaxxed were the very cause of the continuation of the pandemic. Joe Biden himself told us that, repeatedly. Talk about burying the lead.
This is extra-interesting because essentially the entire document pushes vaccines for all sorts of spurious reasons. I won’t bore you with all the moronic and dishonest details but let’s just take a look at this very first one: “Emerging evidence suggests that vaccination before infection also provides some protection against post–COVID-19 conditions,†” First, “suggests” is one of those words which should set off you BS meter. I can show you data (evidence) that clearly “suggests” that consuming ice cream increases risk of drowning, but it’s of course complete nonsense. Second, before reading further, ask yourself what the CDC is referring to when they “suggest” “some protection” against “post-COVID-19 conditions”. Any normal person would think of the dreaded “Long-COVID” phenomenon, which so far has not been quantified in any legitimate manner at all (sorry). But more importantly, when you follow the reference indicator (†) you find this: “Vaccination is also effective in preventing multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children, a rare but severe postinfectious hyperinflammatory condition that can occur after mild or asymptomatic infection among children.” Now this leads down a whole other rabbit-hole of obfuscation and misdirection we won’t pursue, but ask yourself, when you read “Emerging evidence suggests that vaccination before infection also provides some protection against post–COVID-19 conditions,†” do you think of a disease from which your child stands a risk of death, by the CDC's own numbers, of less than 0.00009%? That’s a risk of less than nine one hundred-thousandths of one percent. So the statement “Emerging evidence suggests that vaccination before infection also provides some protection against post–COVID-19 conditions,†” is at the very least disingenuous. Hey remember when they told us that the vaccine would protect you from dying, not just from COVID, but from ANYTHING? Good times. And by the way, "post-COVID-19 conditions"is plural, MIS-C is one (that's singular); what other "conditions" might they be referring to? Anybody? No? Not a good start for people trying to rehabilitate their image. By the way, the study linked to after the statement about the vax protecting against MIS-C in children is a hoot if you want to see how these “scientists” parse their subjects in excruciatingly detailed ways to make their results as good as they can get them. You can read it here if you want: https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/71/wr/mm7102e1.htm But just as a taste, this study was conducted on kids 12-18 when the CDC itself will tell you “The median age of patients with MIS-C was 9 years.” But whatever. Sorry, I promised I wouldn’t chase that rabbit.
Anyway, you know what’s missing from these “new” guidelines from our “new and improved” CDC? They talk about vaccines you can get, drugs you can take (after and even before infection), ventilation, masks (silly), testing, isolation, “managing” exposure, hand hygiene (hey, you ever notice how the President of the United States constantly coughs into his right hand and then wanders around shaking hands with anyone he can find? SCIENCE!), and increasing space and distance. All good things I’m sure. They’ve obviously worked very well so far (sarcasm alert!). But the conspicuously absent consideration of actually improving one’s health is dumbfounding. Not one word about diet, exercise, sleep; nothing. With all we know (and have known since early 2020) about the connection between being overweight and generally unhealthy and a more serious experience with COVID, how is it possible that the CDC publishes a document entitled “Summary of Guidance for Minimizing the Impact of COVID-19 on Individual Persons, Communities, and Health Care Systems — United States, August 2022” and doesn’t say a word about improving one’s health? Suffice it to say, my confidence in the good Dr. Walensky who said “My goal is a new, public health action-oriented culture at CDC that emphasizes accountability, collaboration, communication, and timeliness." ain’t too high.
But fear not, the reaction from “public health experts” to the CDC’s new guidelines has been stuff like: “CDC Abdicates Responsibility: New COVID Guidelines Are a Travesty” and These Tweets Show Just How Mad Public Health Experts Are About The CDC’s New COVID Guidelines” not because the "public health experts" are upset with the lack of attention to personal health responsibility; no, it’s because these new guidelines are too lax and they want to continue, or even double down on restrictions, masking, vaccines, and the like. You know, all the things that haven’t worked so far. Children.
Nobody is coming to save you, no matter how much lipstick they put on the pig. The reason people have lost confidence in the CDC and other health "authorities" is not because people are pointing out their lunacy, it's because our government overlords and medical "experts" are all imbeciles and liars. Stop listening to them. It’s YOUR life, start acting like it.
